2021 Community Enhancement Sponsorship Opportunities
Each year, as a demonstration of our commitment to philanthropy and our community, the NAIOP Washington State Foundation partners with a deserving non-profit or government organization in the Pacific Northwest for a day of community service that provides needed upgrades and maintenance to the selected project site. Organized by the Community Enhancement Committee, volunteers plan the implementation of dozens of individual projects at the selected site, solicit the needed materials and financial resources, and coordinate hundreds of volunteers to make the projects happen. Over 25 years, NAIOP has upgraded and remodeled schools, playgrounds, child-care and special needs centers, and school camps, including restoration of habitat for salmon and other native species, utilizing the unique talents and resources of the NAIOP community.
- Attendance ranges from 350-450 volunteers each year.
- Participants come from more than 200 companies.
- Community Enhancement is part of the NAIOP Washington State Foundation, which was formed in 2003 to support NAIOP’s vast community initiatives.

Save the Date: Auburn Valley YMCA - Fall 2021
We look forward to continuing the work already started with the Auburn Valley YMCA in 2021. The Y is Seattle’s founding nonprofit organization, offering health, hope, and opportunity to:
- Parents find a safe, nurturing environment for their children to stay active, be engaged, and learn positive values. Children and teens play and develop self-confidence while feeling accepted and supported.
- Former foster kids and homeless young people receive assistance with housing, employment, life skills, and other resources to learn and work.
- Families in crisis due to mental health, child abuse, neglect, or substance abuse receive support and resources from licensed counselors. People from all backgrounds and walks of life come together to volunteer and help strengthen their community.
- Adults connect with friends, pursue interests, and learn how to live healthier.
