Raymond (Ray) Connell currently serves as the Managing Director for the Holland Partner Group’s (HPG) Puget Sound division with overall responsibility for the full spectrum of multifamily development beginning at land acquisition, continuing through building occupancy, and concluding at asset disposition. HPG actively develops, redevelops, constructs, acquires, and manages multifamily communities with institutional partners in the most sought-after investment markets in the Western United States.

Ray’s career path began in finance as a Credit Analyst with Bank of America in New York and progressed to being a Vice President at BlackRock. At BlackRock, Ray was part of the Alternatives Group, investing over $1.4bn of Private Equity funds into industrial, office, retail and multifamily assets and developments.

A move back to the West Coast correlated with a career change from finance into real estate development. In 2015, Ray joined Holland to help expand the company’s San Francisco Bay Area development portfolio. After 11 years in the Bay Area, Ray and his family returned “Home” to Seattle, where he now manages a talented team of development professional.

Mr. Connell holds a BA in Business Administration from the Morehouse College and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Business. Ray sits on the Board of NAIOP Washington State and is an active member of several real estate industry and social organizations.  

Outside of work, Ray is passionate advocate for job training in the building trades, an aspiring U11 and U6 soccer coach, and a struggling golfer.
