SEATTLE — At a press conference in downtown Seattle this morning, Mayor Katie Wilson signed Executive Order 2026-04 to identify immediate and longer-term actions to accelerate housing production in the city. Among the directives within the Order is the establishment of a Housing Production Task Force, and we are proud to announce that CREDA Washington State’s Director of Government Affairs, Carter Nelson, has been appointed Co-Chair.

They keep families together and inside and, together with our community, provide housing and employment resources, safety, stability, and hope. This was a tough one! We have participated in and to a large extent driven the tremendous real estate expansion in Seattle and that’s a good thing! However, there can be unintended consequences and in our May Breakfast we explored one of those consequences: Homelessness. The Breakfast was sponsored by Lake Union Partners, Runberg Architecture Group, and Rushing. We sincerely thank them for their continued support.
